Orders & Shipping

So we can best serve our customers the most high quality malt in the most timely and efficient manner, please take a few minutes to review our ordering and shipping standards.

Orders

  • Please give our team sufficient time to process your order. A member of our sales team will respond to you within 1 business day. Orders of unmilled grain are shipped or ready for pickup within 3 business days of being placed unless planned otherwise or a different shipping/pickup date is requested. 

  • Milled (crushed) grain orders will require an extra 5 business days before shipping/pickup unless planned otherwise or a different shipping date is requested.

  • You can pick your order up at the malthouse if you arrange this with your sales representative. Pickup hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 9AM-3PM. Your sales representative will communicate the date your order will be ready to you directly.

  • Custom smoked malts are available upon request. The Blue Ox team would love the opportunity to collaborate on a flavor profile or blend that matches your desired recipe. The minimum lead-time needed for custom smoked malts is 14 days or longer, depending on your needs. 

  • Malt availability is based on demand. The majority of our base malts are always in stock along with most of our specialty products. If you’d like to learn more about what our current inventory is, please reach out to your area sales representative directly with further questions.

SHIPPING

  • Deliveries occur Monday through Friday. If you are closed any of these days, please let us know. Blue Ox will not be responsible for any re-delivery fees.

  • Let us know if you need a lift gate, pallet jack, delivery notification, etc. Some of these items will incur an additional charge.

  • We love to host malthouse tours and can schedule them with your team upon request. Due to the nature of our facility, we request that you plan your visit with your sales representative at least 5 business days before you intend to arrive. This gives our production staff ample time to plan workflow and communicate the safest tour route.

  • For specialty orders beyond our normal inventory, please consult your sales representative on appropriate timing for shipping and receipt. 

  • Blue Ox warehouses/offices are closed on the following U.S. holidays: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day + day after Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving + Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve + Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve + New Year’s Day
